In a cascadeless schedule, a transaction cannot read a data item X until the last transaction that has written X is committed or aborted(write is allowed), whereas In a strict schedule, a transaction can neither read nor write a data item X until the last transaction that has written X is committed or aborted. 

Strict schedules have more restrictions than a cascadeless schedule.

Every strict schedule is cascadeless but every cascadeless schedule may not be strict.
