Order 2 square matrix means 4 elements in a matrix like $\begin{bmatrix} x &x \\ x &x \end{bmatrix}$

now each $x$ can be $-2$ or $0$ or $2$ i.e. $3$ choice.

So total ways $= 3*3*3*3 = 81$
